Drakeo is a 3-year-old male dachshund in need of a very specific, experienced home.

We recently received a call regarding an incident in which Drakeo bit a family member. After an in-depth conversation and evaluation of the circumstances, we believe that in a different, stable environment, he has the potential to truly thrive.

Drakeo has been experiencing significant stress, particularly following his owner’s illness. This change has compromised his sense of stability and security. As many dachshund lovers know, this breed is deeply loyal, sensitive, and can become anxious when their world shifts unexpectedly.

• He does have a bite history.

• He will require an experienced dachshund owner only.

• Adopter must have experience handling behavioral challenges.

• Absolutely no children.

• No cats.

• He may do well with another balanced dachshund.

• Calm, structured, adult-only home required.
